When Bonnie joined the Voices for a Malaria-Free Future team at Johns Hopkins, the project website was primarily, well, purple, and the content was slim. An extreme web makeover was indeed in order and, together with web guru Liz Linton, they transformed the Voices site into a visually appealing and tremendously useful resource. By creating a success story library and massive online photo gallery, the Voices project helped equip malaria advocates with success stories and materials to further galvanize support to fight the disease. The website was also an archive of resources from Voices and its partner agencies, helping to facilitate collaboration and information-sharing among advocacy partners. Additionally, Bonnie and Liz, with support from Fleishman Hillard, PSI and photographer Jenn Warren, created special feature sections like the Rwanda World Malaria Day portal, which served as a landing page for journalists and Congressional staffers following a high-level event on Capitol Hill highlighting the Rwanda malaria control success story.
